Review: Excellent job!

Great experience with Maria to get the job set up and Steven that did the work on my driveway and walk leading to my front porch. The slabs are were all lifted back to their original levels when they were poured over 20 years ago. Steven took time to cap off the patches with sand and it makes the lifting holes blend in perfectly with the walks.

Our front porch steps were sunken to the point that my wife (the sheriff) was struggling to navigate them. A-1 successfully raised the steps approximately 4 inches, completed the job in under an hour and left the worksite looking just like when they arrived. I was most impressed when they took the time to replace and groom the topsoil around the steps which had been displaced during the work. A job well done! I highly recommend A-1.

Our home is 50 years old so the front porch, front sidewalk, back sidewalk, driveway and small pad outside the basement door all had settled, most of them by a few inches. Clay was quick to come out and provide a very competitive quote on two project. One was fixing a tripping hazard on a sidewalk and a bigger one to raise a slab by our pool. They schedule the project right away to have it done before another project we had already scheduled. Very accommodating! Then Andy and his crew did a great job on both project. Review: A-1 mastered a job left incomplete by another

Moved into our home a year ago knowing the front concrete porch slab had settled about 2.5 inches toward the house. Because the porch is partially enclosed knew it would not be easy to replace the slab and planned to raise by pumping material under it. We hired another company in the summer of 2018 and they came out and pumped quite a lot of material into what was a large void (builders need to stop using the area under this slabs as waste pits which settle after 10 years). After pumping a fair amount of material the slab did not move at all and the contractor told me it was wedged and could not be lifted. I paid significant portion of the quoted price for this work due to existence of large void. I talked to Ryan at the Home show 2019, described the situation, and he told me that he had no doubt that A-1 could jack up the slab. He came out and inspected the job and gave a good quote and we agreed there would be no cost to me if the slab didn't raise.
I am pleased to report that the slab did raise (still required a fair amount of material to complete filling the void). My observations are that A-1 has better equipment and more knowledgeable technicians who varied slurry density and insertion points as necessary to fill the voids and lift the slab. As I was second job that day they had to return with more material to lift the last 1/2" but this was done without complaint - job site was cleaned well after they were done. Overall I do not normally give 5 star ratings but will in this case.

They did a good job on my driveway, it sank about 5 inches from the garage floor. My walkway to the house also sank from the porch. they fill that in and i ask would he shoot some under the porch because i get snakes and all kinds of thing living under there. he was nice enough to fill that in for me at no charge even though i offered. It was pretty cheap to, I only spent 900 for to lift both sides of the driveway, a porch walkway and a sidewalk that had sank. They are good people and im happy with the work. Filled the holes in and you really dont even see where they drilled.

I had voids develop under my driveway and front porch causing lot of concern on my part. I stopped at the A1 booth at the Cincinnati Home and Garden Show and liked what I heard. I received a timely quote for less than I had imagined so I contracted for the work. The crew arrived exactly on time and completed the work within the time frame given. My driveway concrete slabs had settled such that there was more than an inch of height difference in mating slabs. A1 was completely professional in all aspects -- timely estimate, arrived to work when stated, and most importantly, they were able to achieve a great result. I strongly recommend A-1 Concrete Leveling of Cincinnati. They had an impossible task to accomplish, as my carport had slipped deeply over the past 28 years. Andy and Ricky arrived and were so efficient and professional as they focused on raising the concrete floor up and ensuring the roof's integrity was maintained. I was amazed at the great results on this big task and then they were able to repair the front walkway slabs that needed leveling. My patio consists of 3 slabs of concrete that connect to the back of the house. Two slabs by the house had sunken inward, allowing water to collect. A1Concrete gentlemen leveled out the 2 slabs and also the third slab which I thought was fine. This slab was ready to collapse as the other two slabs had already.

My husband heard about A1 Concrete Leveling on a radio commercial. I am SO glad we had the opportunity to work with them. The estimator was prompt and friendly. The price (when compared to the cost and wait time of new concrete) was very reasonable. They leveled a slab on the driveway that had heaved up in one corner 3" due to a drainage issue. They corrected the slant of the walk leading up to our house. We asked if they could fill a void underneath our porch to keep it from potentially splitting. Done. Done. and Done. The office followed up the next day to make sure we were 100% satisfied. That is when I found out this is a local, family-owned and operated business. Our neighborhood was cracking down (pun not intended) on unlevel sidewalks plus I was planning to sell so I went looking for someone to fix a sidewalk that had tilted in several places. Clay came out and gave a proposal that I thought was very fair. He also was knowledgeable. I went with him and he sent his crew of two out and they did a great job. I was concerned because one spot was lifted fairly high and they correct to the highest point. But when they finished all looked nice and level and the high spots did not stand out as I feared. The work was done over 4 months ago and it still looks good. Very pleased.

The grade of the sidewalk on side my house was tilting towards the house causing pooling of water & water in the basement when it rained. A1 came out and raised the sidewalk to drain away from the house.
They were even able to level cracked sidewalk. Other conventional concrete co. wanted to remove &replace entire sidewalk and dig trench the length of house & waterproof basement. 5yr warranty
